unforgettable dream
Posted June 2, 2017
on:
We are living on an island, having
Unfathomable Ocean on three sides,
And a dense forest on its fourth side,
None came back who went to seek its base!
The trees found here are bare with no leaves,
The fruit that grows on them is as big as heads,
All the birds on this island are voiceless,
Miseries like wriggling dreams keep us alive
For the forthcoming days and trial
Seeing a sailing boat from far-off,
We scream in excitement with waving hands
And quietly lay down with the setting sun
The stars sing unheard songs to our women
They vanish like one more world with the rising sun
It’s all like a dream for us, a hidden unknown!
Contented we were with little food!
And bodies adorned with leaves!
Who discovered the reason for our bareness?
No one would ever know,
If our children never asked
Every night, we make a boat in a dream
That sails smoothly on the water far away
And die away as a dream with the rising sun
No delight in happiness

No delight in happiness; no gloom in gloominess
Weird in realm, merely lost in thy remembrance
Neither engaged in own-self nor fascinated around
I’m ecstatic, adore you, and your remembrance
Ask the stars about my life’s deeds and policies
I keep awake at night and think of thy fantasies
What does anyone or the world around know?
Nothing matters for me around; but only you
The world is waiting for a downhearted song
Bahzad is inaudibly absorbed in beloved’s gong

Ab hai khushi khusi mein na gham hai malaal mein
Duniya se kho gaya hoon tumhaare khayaal mein
baitha hoon mast ho k tumhare khayaal mein
Taron se pooch lo meri rudaad-e-zindagi
Raton ko jaagta hoon tumhaare khayaal mein
Duniya ko ilm kya hai zamaane ko kya khabar
Duniya bhula chukaa hoon tumhare khayaal mein
Duniya khadi hai muntazir-e-naghma-e-alam
‘Behzad’ chup khade hain kisi ke khayal mein

What do you know?

What do you know?
Of the dooms day?
When the sky will riven
When the stars fall off
The mountains slide away
What has deceived you O’ MAN?
Thou not regard thy Lord,
The noble one
He, who created you,
Perfected you
Into whatever form He willed,
Fashioned you
And sheltered you
Under guardians from above
He showered countless bounties
Upon you
What you know
Where to hide
When that occurs
On that Day of Judgment
No one will recognize
Each other on that day
Every relation will be dispirited
On that day
No soul will have any power
For any other soul
And what you know,
What the Day of Judgment is
The entire command on that day
Is of Allah
Allah the supreme

Wishing Happy Eid to everyone
Every national, each one, everyone
Tolerant liberal nationals of Pakistan
Stay blessed nationals of Pakistan
Let’s all enjoy and celebrate
Let’s greet, meet and celebrate
Fields we own gardens we own
High mountains, stars and moon
We own all cities, towns of Pakistan
All glowing faces wish Happy Eid
To one and all, living in Pakistan
Stay blessed nationals of Pakistan
What is love

Thinking of thee—Love!
What is love——-?
To be lost in the ocean of chances
To neglect all for your soggy eyes;
Sometimes go and share with stars
About heart’s feelings or flowers,
Either squander silently all day
or be asleep in a meaningless way;
At times shed tears, at times veil them,
I evoke all, being lost on the way at dusk
What is love—–?
Poison, energizer, shadow, may be
Shadow, which often shadowed me;
Compels me to speak his language
Forget self, and choose crazy way;
What is love—-?
Be faithful to words, sip death’s poison,
Pat thy heart’s string with pure simplicity
What is love—-?
Maybe to locate him on the tracks,
Worship again, whom cast off before;
Just feel often, that we have left
Far behind, the destiny of madness;
Broken the bond amid flora and fauna,
Through clouds Love will shower again
Linking green shoot erupts in heart again;
Will feel free of your promising assurance,
Love will again return to your soggy eyes

Whatever is coupled with thy name?
Gale, moon, stars, sun, fragrance
Love enlivens with your existence
May it be drizzle, autumn or spring!

Stars of tears

Adorn your hair with stars and smile forever
Forget your long-gone past, and chant now
All those tears you endured for so long
Now rest thy head on my chest to weep
Come and knock at the door of my heart
Come in with dignity to reside forevermore
Load my arms with your warm touch
Then hold back the warmth of the sun
Give me all thy pains, and take my joys
Then keep smiling the rest of thy life
From many gloomy nights and setbacks
I am tired and have collapsed, come lift me up
Bearing agony and trying to be composed
I’m worn out now; take me in your arms
Gather some seashells and sweet dreams
My love is an ocean, come and dive in there
Those who think love is not strong, Ahmar
Come with me to make them jealous
to go on, and be in love again

but when I look at the other side
has laden on our feet and heads.
engulfed in our own spheres of life,
entangled in our own circles
rivers of loneliness
Neither you are on the shoreline nor I,
so, it’s better to be gripped in
