How to Use Honey & Cinnamon to Treat Skin Irritation

Skin irritations such as skin itching, is a common dermatological complaint. When your skin itches, the tendency is to keep scratching it. This can cause your irritated skin to become red and injured from your nails, which can eventually lead to skin rashes. Skin irritations can be treated at home. You can use many over-the-counter remedies. However, these products contain harsh chemicals that can further irritate your skin. Fortunately, you can use natural ingredients such as cinnamon and honey. These two ingredients contain soothing and antiseptic properties that you can use to help relieve skin irritations.

Step 1Take a shower or wash the affected skin with warm water and an antibacterial soap. Avoid scrubbing your skin to prevent further infection. Pat your skin dry with a clean towel after cleaning your skin.

Step 2 . Add 3 tablespoons of honey and 2 tablespoons of cinnamon powder in a clean bowl. Stir the mixture with a spoon until it turns into a paste. Add more cinnamon powder if you want a thicker mixture.

Step 3. Scoop a generous amount of the honey-cinnamon mixture with your fingers and apply it directly to the irritated skin areas. Gently massage the mixture into your skin in a circular motion until it dries. Leave the mixture on your skin for five minutes.

Step 4. Wash your skin with water and soap to remove the sticky mixture. Pat your skin dry after cleaning your skin.

Step 5. Reapply the mixture as needed.

Warnings

  • Seek medical advice from your physician or health care professional if you are suffering from skin irritation.

Strong and powerful garlic has dozens of health and household uses – some of which may seem pretty unusual. While garlic is an important ally for natural health (you may be familiar with the fact that garlic has the ability to increase immunity, banish colds and is a recognized broad-spectrum antibiotic), its functions extend beyond these common uses. Check out these 14 unusual and strange alternative uses for garlic

  1. A Great Aid for Athlete’s Foot
Being a potent, natural antifungal, garlic is ideal for treating fungal infections like irritating and itchy athlete’s foot. Just add a couple of crushed garlic cloves to warm water in a foot bath and soak the affected area for 30 minutes.

  2. Helps in Preventing Gas

While for some, garlic causes uncomfortable stomach-distending gas, due to its high sulfur content, for others it can reportedly ease it. In order to maintain intestinal health though, you would need to consume it on a regular basis. Garlic can kill harmful intestinal bacteria, promoting the growth of beneficial flora, making digestion smoother.
  1. Combats Hair Loss
Before resorting to a more drastic measure, if you are going bald, give garlic a shot. It is believed that massaging the scalp with garlic oil stimulates hair growth.

  2. Apply it to Breakouts of Acne

Though it will make your skin smell, the antibacterial properties of garlic will help lessen the appearance of acne, including those deep acne cysts that can otherwise be difficult to treat. Just slice open a clove of raw, fresh garlic and apply it to breakouts.

  3. Aids in Weight Loss
Though you cannot count on garlic to help you lose a lot of weight, research shows that garlic has potential for aiding weight loss. Compounds found in garlic send signals of satiety to your brain, which will actually help you to feel full faster. It also boosts metabolic function, enabling you to burn more calories.

  4. Use it as a Natural Pesticide
An all-natural garlic pesticide spray can be used to ward off pests like whiteflies, aphids, cabbage loppers and squash bugs. All you need to do is mince three garlic cloves and let them sit in two tablespoons of mineral oil for 24 hours. Then, strain out the garlic and add the oil, along with a teaspoon of liquid dish soap, to a pint of water in a spray bottle and spray on infested plants.

  5. Use it to Repel Mosquitoes
You need not use DEET and other potentially toxic chemicals to ward off mosquitoes, garlic can work wonders. To prepare a mosquito spray, let a few minced cloves of garlic infuse in an ounce of mineral oil for 24 hours. Strain and mix the garlic scented oil with two cups of water and one teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice. If necessary, strain again and pour into a spray bottle.

  6. Use it as a Natural Adhesive to Repair Glass
Though it may not work on major jobs, garlic juice can be used to fill in hairline cracks in glass and hold them together. Simply crush a clove of garlic and rub its sticky, viscous juice in the cracks and wipe away the excess.

  7. Kills Bacteria that Causes Ear Infection
This common folk remedy has been used for centuries. Simply crush a clove of garlic and place it in a teaspoon of hot olive oil for five minutes. Strain, allow cooling and dripping a few drops at a time into your ear canal. Alternatively, you can purchase garlic oil from natural health food stores.

  8. Helps Remove Splinters
Splinters are painful to remove and may at times dig a little too deep into the skin to pull out, but this odd trick can really work. Place a thin slice over the splinter, keeping it on with a bandage. The garlic should help the splinter work its way out of the skin within hours.

  9. Use it to Relieve Psoriasis
Garlic’s anti-inflammatory properties could ease or even prevent persistent tightness and itching of psoriasis. Active compounds in garlic interact with arachidonic acid, an omega fatty acid in the skin linked to psoriasis. You may also rub garlic oil on the affected areas once or twice per day.

  1. Use it as a Cough Syrup
Garlic can be used as a cough syrup to ease inflammation in the throat and clear up excess mucus. Add raw, minced garlic in hot water, straining it after five minutes and drinking the liquid as tea. To make it more palatable, add ginger and honey.

  2. Garlic makes for a Fantastic Road De-icier
Come winter, many towns de-ice their roads. Ankeny, Iowa smelled awfully savory in 2008 when winter transportation crews spread garlic salt on the streets in advance of snowstorms. The salt, donated by a local spice producer, was apparently deemed unfit for human consumption.

  3. Kills Intestinal Parasites

Many alternative health practitioners advise using raw garlic to expel intestinal parasites. Consumed in quantities of about three cloves per day may help clear nasty organisms out of the digestive tract. It is recommended as part of a cleansing diet that also includes raw honey, lemon juice, pumpkin seeds, carrots and beets.

Temperatures reach as high as 45 degrees Celsius (111 degrees Fahrenheit) on Saturday, just short of an all-time high in the city of 47 C in June 1979 in the southern port city of Karachi

It is the first time ever in my life that I see the rising death rate due to the heat wave and suffocation. The heat wave is so severe that it is unbreakable for us too who are sitting at home having water and electricity. Majority of the people have load shedding in their areas resulting in no water and no power so they out of annoyance are mostly affected.

The Pakistan Rangers, Sindh however established 10 heatstroke relief centers in the city, almost all of them operating inside the Rangers headquarters. Open to all, the centers provide free-of-charge treatment to those who are suffering from heat stroke.  Rangers officer was being administered a drip while cold water was being poured on Javed, a civilian patient at the centre. Javed, who works at a nearby shop, said that when he collapsed he was brought to the centre by the Rangers deployed nearby. “I feel much better now,” he claimed. I hope and earnestly wish and pray Allah to forgive us and bless us with heavy showers of rain and to lessen the heat and have mercy

Islam does not oppose family planning at all, rather directs to devise a strategy and planning in this field too like all other fields. God has made a code of conduct for the smooth running of this world. Thus all the works, accordingly get accomplished in two ways.

The first way is beyond the capacity of human beings as in the matters of rains, storms, floods, earthquakes, changing of seasons, and the natural calamities etc.

The second way has the partial involvement of the human being’s will and action. In all of the matters which a human being considers to be in his capacity, God has directed him to undertake them with knowledge, rational thinking, intellect, wisdom and proper strategy.

Childbirth is one of the selective matters where God lets the free will of the human beings exercise. Though a child is born as per the order of God, yet the parents and other human beings are the source for that. It is just as a farmer cultivates his land and grows the crop. The Quran affirms it at so many occasions that the cultivation of land and growing of crop by man is certainly done at the will of God. The farmer is no doubt the source. Thus the same intellect employed by man for the cultivation of his land should be applied while cultivating his generation too. Both these matters have been yoked together in Al-Waqia’ah:

“Behold the semen you emit: did you create it, or did we? (….) Consider the seeds you grow. Is it you that give them growth or we?” (Al-Waqi’ah 56: 63-64)

“(O Prophet) Give good news to my servants, who listen to my words and follow the best interpretation of it

During the time of the Holy Prophet some of his companions used to adopt certain preventive measures for birth control. The Holy Prophet knew it and allowed to continue with that. Thus it can be concluded that all methods for birth control are valid in Islam.

In all such matters where man has free will whatever the decision he makes and whatever the line of action he opts becomes the decision of God, if it is not against the larger interest of the whole of the humankind.

Thus man has to plan for that, otherwise he would not get it enough. Hence one must plan the size of one’s family, the time for the birth of a child and the proper care of every child. This is what we call family planning.

He must take proper care of the health of this wife. He must plan for a new child when his wife is able to give birth to a child in all respects. He has to look after her during her pregnancy. He must give proper respite between the births of two children. He can only be called a wise and a responsible husband if he Thus man continues proceeding on the highway of knowledge, rational thinking and science through this way. God has declared this principle in clear terms in the Quran that He never let any man’s Action go waste

:Face-Mapping-What-is-Your-Acne-Telling-You

Face mapping is a combination of the ancient Chinese medicine and the Ayurveda, explaining how certain parts of your face are tightly connected with other areas of your body. Put it this way; imagine your face as a map and blemishes as X’s on that landscape. Spots in different zones correspond to different problems. So, use this “video” as your guide, and discover the underlying causes of blemishes and now you can not only make the unsightly zits disappear but you can also treat the problem causing them.

I found this information good for health for each one of us so i thought of sharing or rather refreshing:)

red-and-white-vinegar

Vinegar is a versatile liquid that is created from the fermentation of ethanol.

There are two processes of fermentation that differ by speed of production. While the fast fermentation process takes only hours to days, it requires the use of machinery to promote the oxygenation.

The slow fermentation process takes weeks to months and occurs naturally.Outside of cooking, vinegar has medicinal, household cleaning, and agricultural applications.

Science research shows that vinegar taken with foods helps with the digestion.

The known advantages of vinegar are:

  • Improves blood circulation
  • Healthy metabolism
  • Reduces cholesterol
  • Regulates water content
  • Decreases sodium in the body
  • Increases concentration and
  • Improves memory

Why wait for science to tell you after years and years of research when you can simply reap the benefits by following the ways the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h). Today we find vinegar capsules being sold in chemists and a whole lot of population is buying them

Vinegar is also beneficial in the treatment of arthritis, colds and constipation

While everyone continues to go crazy for coffee, we’d like to point your attention toward tea. Yes, tea, the beverage that can soothe you when you want to relax or wake you up when you need an extra push. Basically, tea is great and you should consume it just as much as your beloved java.

Without further ado, here are nine reasons you should drink tea every single day. (We still love you, coffee.)

  1. First things first, tea is way easier to make than coffee.

Most of the time, you need a whole machine to make coffee, and you may even have to grind some beans. To make tea, all you need is boiling water, tea and a cup. It’s that simple.

  1. Green tea could have the power to help keep your bones healthy.

For elderly folks, studies have shown that drinking green tea may help lessen the risk of osteoporotic bone fractures.

  1. Drinking unsweetened black tea could help fix bad breath.

If you have a case of halitosis, you may want to start drinking black tea. Researchers at the University Of Chicago College Of Dentistry found that black tea contains chemical components called polyphenols that slow down the formation of plaque-causing bacteria. The polyphenols also reduce “acid production levels,” helping to prevent periodontal disease.

  1. It’s considered a “necessity of life” in China, so maybe it should be for you, too.

Along with firewood, rice, oil, “chiang,” salt and vinegar, tea is considered one of the things “people cannot do without every day,” according to the proverbial “seven necessities of life” created by the Sung Chinese people.

  1. Tea has the power to calm you down.

Some research has suggested that valerian root tea could act as a safe and effective mild natural sleep aid. In a German study, 202 adults either took valerian extract or a prescription anti-anxiety drug. The people who took valerian extract reported “equal improvement in sleep quality, feeling rested and how long they slept as those taking the prescription drug.”

  1. Its kind of a presidential order.

If the President of the United States is obsessed with tea, then you should be too. A2009 New York Times article that details the changes Obama made to the White House stated that the fridges were stocked with his favorite brand of organic tea: Honest Tea. Apparently, his favorite flavors are “Black Forest Berry” and “Green Dragon.”

  1. It could relieve your seasonal allergies before you even get them.

If you’re suffering from seasonal allergies you may want to start your day with a cup of nettle leaf tea. While more research still needs to be done, a preliminary studyfollowed 69 people and found that freeze-dried nettle leaf could “slightly improve allergy symptoms.”

  1. Some experts believe that drinking tea can sometimes be better than drinking water.

Researchers at the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that tea rehydrates you just as much as water does by replacing fluids in your body. And because tea has antioxidants, there’s an added bonus. “Water is essentially replacing fluid. Tea replaces fluids and contains antioxidants so it’s got two things going for it,” public health nutritionist Dr. Carrie Ruxton said in an interview with BBC.

  1. Afternoon tea. Need we say more?

There are parties dedicated to drinking tea, which include sandwiches that are delicious. Here’s a little history: In 1840, Anna Maria Stanhope, the seventh Duchess of Bedford, thought of the genius idea of having afternoon tea “to bridge the lengthy gap between luncheon and dinner.” In order to retain a good (but restrained) appetite for the sweet scones and iced cakes that accompany such an event, the preceding sandwiches that were eaten at this event needed to be filling but too filling. Thus came dainty mini crust less sandwiches that have lighter fillings like cucumber and eggs for a tasty, quick snack.

Biblically referenced as the fruit growing on the Tree of Knowledge, the princely pomegranate also has resonance in Islamic texts and for our health.

The princely pomegranate, ar-Rumm in Arabic, is mentioned in the Qur’an as one of the many delicious rewards awaiting in Paradise. Its numerous uses in cooking and medicine, as well as its beautiful structure, make the fruit a wonder for Muslims who believe that each pomegranate seed is a sign of The Sustainer.

Pomegranates are mentioned three times in the Qur’an.
1) As one of the fruits that will be found in paradise:

“In both of them (gardens) are two springs, sprouting? in both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates.

so which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?” (Quran, 55, 56 —–69)

2. as a reminder of the nutritious provision from God,

3.And as a sign of His artistry,

“And it is He who sends down rain from the sky, and We produce thereby the growth of all things. We produce it greenery from which We produce grains arranged in layers. And from the palm trees- of its emerging fruit are clusters hanging low. And [We produce] gardens of grapevines and olives and pomegranates, similar yet varied. Look at each of its fruit when it yields and [at] its ripening. Indeed in that are the signs for a people who believe” (Quran, 6:99)

The frequent mentions of this fruit are because of its gem-like beauty, a glistening core of seeds compacted in a layer resembling honeycomb.
Equally astounding are the colors of the fruit and flowers which are an attestation to the Qur’anic verse:
“And whatsoever He has created for you on the earth of varying colors [and qualities from vegetation and fruits] and from animals. Verily! In this is a sign for people who remember.” (Qur’an, 16:13)

Nutritional Value
nutritionally pomegranate fruit is rich in Vitamin C with a calorific value of 65 (calories), while it is a good source of sodium, riboflavin and calcium.

Prophet Muhammad of Islam, peace be upon him, told his Companions that each pomegranate potentially held a heavenly grain;
there’s not a pomegranate which does not have a pip from one of the pomegranate of the Garden (Jannah) in it. “Abu Nu’aim narrated by Anas)

And these pips, along with the outer skin, are rich with antioxidant and antibacterial properties, testimony to its benefits for cleansing the palate. The Prophet therefore also said,
“Pomegranate and its rind strengthen digestion (stomach). (Abu Nuaim, narrated by Ali)
