Never saw that alluring face again—–

Never saw that alluring face ever again

Gone; she never returned again

Who to share when reached destination

Journey ends, she isn’t here at destination

I’m that broken traveler of Love land

Getting home, unsure of return to homeland

The breeze carries tales of her fragrant hair

None else is blamed of secret of her hair

If asked of your promises and pledge

What is your excuse? Your message is a pledge

A promising dream’s that makes me twinkle again

This gleam isn’t due to night’s waking again

Look at my exhausted being and my passion

Refined manners to present self isn’t abrasion

What has Sahar gone through of so much endurance?

Been many days since he’s seen around

Don’t ignore thy humbled,

Don’t turn thy eyes away

Don’t enlighten with tales

Can’t afford to, being away

Why not hold me to thy bosom

Lengthy nights without you; Are

As lengthy as maiden’s long hair

Days of being together are short

And they’re as short as one’s life

Two magical eyes in short span of time

Spellbound my heart within no time

Who bothers now to explain to her!

My anguish, my heart aches to her

like dust particle, like an alight candle,

I’ve been forever pleading in love

Sleepless sore eyes and restive me,

Neither she comes nor asks for me

Gale’s flying away the birds from the trees

Gale’s teaching to hum and dance to trees

No one’s there to grieve over our death

Heard tales of earth from our ancestors

It’s bewilderment to see dying so many

Sunlight is treating our graves as pillows

One of my butterflies delightfully fluttering

About the gardener, hovering and fluttering

Dressed in a white adorned dressing gown

It’s captivating everyone with her beauty

Though the earth’s carrying heavens silently

Still every step of this journey is distressing
