My beloved, don’t ask me for love we shared before
I assumed that life’s brilliant as long as you’re there
Thy gloom is there; why bother gloom of the world
Your beauty is sustenance of splendor of the world
There’s no reality of anything than your divine eyes
Should you be with me, fate would turn to elation
It occurs not, it was plainly my assumption
Countless of sufferings there besides love
Endless of delights there than lover’s reunion
Countless dark magic effects extended to eras
Draped in silk and velvet and brocade and satin
Vanity and timidity for sale hither and thither
Soaked in the dust and wet in blood hearts
Bodies suffering from of diseases and infection
The mucus flowing of ulcers and sore infection
My eyes detain that sight too; what can I do
Thy loveliness is charismatic; but what to do
My beloved, don’t ask me for the love shared before
I assumed that life’s brilliant as long as you’re there

Mujh se pehli si muhabbat mere mehboob na maang
Maine samjhaa tha ke tu hai to darakhshaan hai hayaat
Tera gham hai to gham-e-dehar ka jhagdaa kyaa hai
Teri surat se hai aalam mein bahaaron ko sabaat
Teri aankhon ke siwaa duniyaa mein rakhkhaa kya hai
Tu jo mil jaaye to taqdir nigoon ho jaaye
Yoon na thaa maine faqat chaahaa thaa yoon ho jaaye
Aur bhi dukh hai zamaane mein muhabbat ke siwaa
Raahatein aur bhi hain vasl ki raahat ke siwaa
Anginat sadiyon ki taareeq bahemaanaa tilism
Resham-o-atlas-o-kamkhwaab mein bunvaaye hue
Ja-ba-ja bikte hue koochaa-o-baazaar mein jism
Khaak mein lithade hue, khoon mein nehlaaye hue
Jism nikle hue amraaz ke tannooron se
Peep behti hui galte hue naasooron se
Laut jaati hai udhar ko bhi nazar, kya keeje?
Ab bhi dilkash hai tera husn, magar kya keeje?
Aur bhi dukh hai zamaane mein muhabbat ke siwaa
Raahatein aur bhi hain vasl ki raahat ke siwaa
Mujh se pehli si muhabbat mere mehboob na maang
There was a moment once on earth
The life was clamped in trap of death
Being helpless; it pleaded to save!
But emblazing fire of hatred, treachery
You danced and celebrated your victory
That era was indulged in grave swamp
A star then twinkled swiftly in the sky
He was Jesus who illumined the sky!
To eliminate betrayal and treachery
To purify the conceited smug spirits
He implanted the seeds of affection
That hearts and souls flourished with
Jubilation, peace, love and harmony;
The human brutes; but adorned the Christ
With crown of thorns and crucified body
Hence the earth trembled at this cruelty
The planets too pulsated in the skies
The thunder storm disrupted setting
In that gloomy sinister night it was
Christ’s blood that lighted the lamps
Everywhere Christ pious blood dribbled
There only life witnessed his divine piety
Flowers blossomed and spring bloomed
Jesus carrying his crucifix is steadfast
Following his footsteps the disciples
Enlighten life with peace and harmony
Hope

If hope of morning lessens at any instant
Life, scared embraces dreams of evening
With evening, the ache for you deepens
Darkness of the gloomy night extends everywhere
If heart’s ice doesn’t soften,
Then life’s river will condense,
Like a stream with little water
Which promptings have settled in the hearts?
That even today wakes me up suddenly at night
One step staggering off course
Can transform the speed of history

Praise is to Allah. We bear witness that there is only one God who has no partners beside Him, and we bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger.
Praise is to Allah who blessed us with the guidance of His prophets and messengers. Praise is to Allah whose Mercy encompasses everything. Praise is to Allah who knows our needs and answers our calls and brings peace to our hearts.
Praise is to Allah who breathed into us of His Spirit and placed the light of His guidance in our inmost being. Whomever Allah guides, no one can misguide, and whomever Allah misguides, no one can guide. We put our trust in Allah and seek His forgiveness, aid, and support.
A man once came to the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) and asked him about the hereafter. The Prophet asked him, “And what have you prepared for that time?” The man replied, “Nothing, except that I love Allah and I love you.” The Prophet (p.b.u.h) answered him, “You are with the ones you love.”
Dear friends the guidance of Islam is the guidance of love. The innate, natural and ancient religion that is Islam is the religion of love. The Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) came to guide us to love and to make clear the love that is at the core of all religions. Our purpose as human beings is to consciously manifest Allah’s love in our lives. This is the most significant meaning that can bring purpose to us and transform our lives. When we reflect upon the history of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) and the spread of his message we will realize that Islam could not have taken root in the world without the love that filled the heart of the Prophet and was clearly manifest in his way of relating and interacting with people that brought out their own deep and profound love for him. Without this mutual and abiding love, none of us would be here today. Without this love Islam would not have been possible.
Today, it seems that we too often hear and read much that is harsh and heartless about Islam and not enough that is loving and beautiful. There seems to be too many messages of prejudice, literalism, legalism, violence, and oppression. The superficiality, ugliness and darkness that are too prevalent in today’s Islamic discourse are nothing like what the Prophet brought us.
I would like to share with you part of the first sermon ever given by the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) in Medina. This is what he had to say to his companions,
Love that which Allah loves! Love Allah with all your hearts! Grow not weary of hearing the Word of Allah. Do not stop remembering Him. Do not let your hearts grow hard toward Him. For verily, Allah has preferred His Book above all of Creation
Indeed, Allah has endowed it with guidance to the best of deeds, and made it an example for the elect of His servants, and filled it with righteous discourse, and has made clear in it what is lawful and unlawful for you.
So, serve Allah alone, and associate with Him no other. Be ever conscious of Him. Be truthful to Allah in what you utter from your mouths. Let the Spirit of Allah be the source of love between you. Amen
Soul burns

on:When in love, the soul burns,
Melts like wax as it churns.
Stone hearts are like winter—
Dark, harsh, with all warmth gone.
