Archive for December 2014

in the coming new year 2015 , let’s remember those who passed away. May their souls rest in peace amen.

We must also remember the ones  who are  less fortunate who need shelter, food, clothing, and toys for their children.  Please remember that this is the season of giving, and your kindness could mean all the difference to someone in need.

I wish all of you a wonderful and safe holiday season and the happiest of new years, from my family to yours. “

This question clearly defines the importance of veiling. A person falls in love at first sight means that either he was charmed by hair, facial beauty, physical appearance or voice of the lady. But definitely something he sighted!

Hence there has to be an object to like or love. Without seeing no one would ever like or buy anything. One can buy at any cost if heard of the value and beauty from a very trusted friend otherwise never ever would throw away his money.

As it is said that, “beauty lies in the eyes of beholder”

That thing may not appeal every one or any once else accept the one, who falls in love with that. Like Majoon fell in love with Laila who was black like coal. No one liked her but Majoon fell in love with her so much so that he could see her everywhere, sleeping or awake. He was completely lost in her love. This is a love story that ended with their deaths like most of such love stories.

It means one must see to fall in love. A blind man falls in love not by seeing but by liking the sweet voice and way of talking. In short there must be something seen or heard or felt to fall in love. He might not see the rain but feels the ambiance the moisture etc. so there must be SOMETHING to charm the lover.

We have not seen God but we love him. Why? Because He is seen and experienced in everything that exists all around.

All this detail is to prove that importance of veiling. A woman is precious like treasure so need to be properly hidden, covered and saved to avoid the lusty sexy seeing of her or be cheated, stolen and misused.

Many of us are unaware of the fact that, hair release waves that attract opposite sex, so does sweat. Long hair of Samson is good example. Samson’s long hair had strength and manly power that attracted Delilah.

Thus a woman is protected, regarded respected if she covers her hair and body. All fashions, dressing, makeup is for her husband to charm him. A woman is the queen of the house. Innumerable breakups can be avoided if a wife remains home or if has to go out, must dress up and cover her in such a way that anyone who casts eye on her respects her.  Scared and holy books are covered with velvet satin or leather to save them from dirt, weather and to ensure their longevity.

Sexual abuse and harassment will minimize if women are taken care of respectfully and lovingly. They are lovely, fragile and precious. Value them.

What is the difference between “Ratti” the old Indian measure unit for gems and the modern day metric unit of “Gram”?

·         1 tola = 12 masha or 11.67 gram

·         1 masha = 8 ratti or 0.97 gram

·         1 tank = 4 mashas or 3.88 gram

·         1 Ratti = 0.91 Carat

·         8 Ratti = 1 Gram

Panini, Sanskrit grammarian (c500 BCE) in his treatise Astdhyayi wrote about coins and various fractions suggesting that the concept of coins existed prior to 500 BCE. He mentioned Satamanas (sata= 100, manas = units) and Karshapana (sub-fraction). Each unit was called “Ratti” weighing 0.11 grams. Ratti was average weight of a Gunja seed

From another Indian scripture:
Old Indian Measures <=> Metric Measures

1 Masha = 8 Ratti = 1 Gram = 4.8 Carats
1 Ratti = 0.6 Carat  download (3)images

History 220px-Carracci-Portrait_of_Carlo_Alberto_Rati_Opizzoni

All major offshoots utilized own coats of arms and mottos. The earliest known Ratti Mentone offshoot comes from Menton in France. This branch’s motto is Virtus beatos efficit (Latin: Boldness makes blissfulness) The Ratti Opizzone (Ratti Oppizzoni or Ratti Opizzoni) branch was recorded in Tortona since 13th century. Its mansion, the Torre Ratti Castle in Piedmont, was built before 1155. It was renovated and expanded in the 14th century and again two centuries later. The castle belonged to Ratti Opizzoni till 1868. The Ratti Opizzone mottoes are Omnia cum tempore (All with time) and Sub tuum praesidium (Under thy protection). In Como a branch of the family devoted itself to silk-spun production since 19th century.

Seeing books and copies drenched in blood

Seeing how our future is going to waste

Nobody to play games in school now

Saddened eyes see blood-spattered sight

No words to describe the horrible incident,

Mothers are symbol of shelter; saw them scared

Insomniac fathers and disturbed mothers

They remember their lost child’s mischief

Brave are the ones, who silently endured,

Sighs and sorrows of bereaved mothers;

Even today we’re engaged in our thoughts

Consider one so desolate and broken down

If mind and rapport is broken into pieces

We’ll only be saddened and feel sorrow;

The incident is agonizing and vulnerable

What a pity, no words to bear or comfort

Speechless, with heads down with shame,

Look up to see the sky in belief and hope

What more to write, pen doesn’t support

The sky shedding bloody tears as well

Wishing ALL MY CHRISTIAN BLOGGER FRIENDS and THEIR loved ones a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with fun and frolic!

Choose to be happy,
Choose to feel great,
Choose not to let things make you irate.

I know that some people are not feeling great,
And I know that some people just know how to hate.
And I wish that all people could be healthy and strong,
And I wish that all people would just get along.

If wands could be waved,  and the world would be cured,
I’d wave that big wand, you can be assured.
But I’ll do what I can every day I am here,
And try to remember “the good,” year to year.

And I choose to be happy,
And I choose to feel great,
And I choose not to let things make me irate!

Dr. Sayed Intesar is a surgeon. it is his own  persoanl tragic story

16th Dec was a sad day and known for “East Pak debacle”. However, for Pakistani nation from now on it will be remembered for different reasons in general and for many of us in particular. The incident has hurt the nation deep inside which is evident from the response by the masses.

Saima Tariq , my beloved wife was one of victims of this tragedy. She had just joined the school on 5th Nov as teacher. She was an educationist and had taught for16 years in APSACS. On my arrival at Peshawar, Pakistan i was strictly against her teaching job and wanted her to pursue her higher studies which she was already undergoing at City University. In spite of my resistance she forced me change my decision and joined APS Peshawar in order to follow her passion of teaching and educating the next generation. She was a soft spoken lady with a very kind heart and extremely popular with her students (fact which can be confirmed by her students and colleagues).
Now coming to the incident on 16th Dec 14, i have seen a lot of stories circulating on the social media with different versions (some facts and some not) and based upon rumours. The fact is she embraced shahadat with courage and stood up against these perpetrators for her students. What happened and how it happened is painful to pen down but the fact is she was burned by the terrorists. Beyond this i believe we should not discuss anything as it is painful for us the family specially when it is not based upon facts.
I also saw people’s remarks about the response being slow and all kind of criticism of security agencies. I want to clarify to every reader of this status that there are 84 schools alone within the Cantt premises let alone hundreds of schools in Peshawar. It is not possible to protect each and every school by the security agencies due to the lack of human resource. I am an affectee of the incident and still salute the wonderful response placed by the security forces in general and Army in particular. While criticizing we tend to overlook one fact that there were approximately 1100 kids in the school and over 950 have walked out safe and alive. Had it not been for the courageous response by my brothers in arms (being an eye witness and present on the spot) the loss could have been much much more. The SSG fought valiantly and took out each culprit. My sincere thanks to all of them who stood like a wall between the terrorists and 950 students saved. Let us all stop condemning the forces response and stand by them and appreciate them.
If the aim of this attack was to terrorize us or scare us i must admit that then they (TTP) have chosen the wrong enemy. I may be grieved b/c after all i am a human and have lost a near and dear one but i am not scared and my resolve to fight them has multiplied many folds. I am proud of my wife’s sacrifice and courage. She has not only made her family but whole nation proud and sowed the seed for change IA.
Finally i along with my family want to thank each and every person including my family members, colleagues, friends, course mates, Aviators, General offrs, PTI MNA’s, PTI MPA’s, ministers, Ex CM of KPK who spared time to visit me and shared my grief. I also want to thank all those who couldn’t join me in these trying times due to unavoidable commitments and called me or my brothers on telephone or messaged me for sharing their feelings. We are indebted to all of you for standing by me.
Saima you have toiled your blood but become immortal (as stated in holy Quran) but you have made us hold our heads high. You will always be missed and remembered by us all.
