The Chu Chu Chick—-

Aliza loves eggs. Eggs in custard, in ice-cream, omelet, boiled, scrambled, fried, half fried or in soups they fascinate her. She is so fond of eggs that she even, dreams of eggs. No matter how hot the weather, Aliza would and must have eggs in any form in breakfast. If by chance there was no egg in home. She would just refuse to eat anything. So all her sister brother and parents made sure to have eggs in refrigerator.
She feels too excited to see painted eggs in Easter. My friend paints eggs especially for Aliza to gift her on her birthday. Her room is full of painted eggs.
Aliza is my granddaughter. She is such an adorable child. Being the youngest of my grandchildren she gets what she asks for anytime. So she wanted to keep a hen so it can lay eggs for Aliza only.
My son bought a chick for her. It was the most valuable treasure for Aliza. She took care of the chick like a mother. No one in the house was allowed to play with the chick unless Aliza wished. A special cage was made for the chick. Aliza named it, The Chick Home.
The lucky chick was so well looked after and fed so much that it grew bigger every day. Every one enjoyed to see Aliza happy with the chick. Aliza called it Chu Chu Chick.
One day when my son was cleaning the chick’s cage, he saw a tiny egg there. He called Aliza to show her the egg. When she saw it she screamed out of joy and kept jumping here and there. She’s only four years old child. She thought that the chick laid egg for her only as it very small in size.
it was a pleasure for us all to see her delight. She refused to eat that egg as it is the first egg of her hen. Small joys are like fireflies. We should enjoy and be thankful for this blessing. Otherwise to wait for big occasions or festivals is good but to enjoy any moment that we get in the era of fretfulness, fear and anxiety is worth.
